Vanessa Vromans (Australia, Netherlands), Sanne Möricke (Netherlands) and Georg Brinkmann (Germany)
Plunge into the eternal flow of Klezmer Music. The dance and ritual music of the Eastern European Jews is beyond comparison – with its rousing rhythms, its eloquent melodies, full of intelligence, humour and emotion.
Vanessa Vromans, Europe’s shooting star on the Klezmer fiddle, is a welcome frequent guest musician with established European and American bands. As her latest project, she teams up with Sanne Möricke and Georg Brinkmann, two of the most experienced European instrumentalists on Klezmer accordion and clarinet.
The programme allows the bold trio to be lead by their own spontaneity. They take the audience on an exciting journey from original style through unplanned improvisation and back. Yiddish Song tells the story of a world then and now, lived and enlivened by the music.
